The steel

ATS-314 is one of the finest stainless steels made for cutting tools, produced in Japan and hardened to 61 HRC. That hardness is what lets it hold an extremely fine convex edge — and hold it far longer than softer steel. It resists wear, it resists corrosion, and it cuts without pushing the hair.

For slide cutting and precision work, this is the point of the whole thing.

The handle

A twisted offset, shaped to let your hand sit where it naturally wants to.

Pick it up and make one cut. Feel the hair separate cleanly, with no push. Then notice your wrist — how quickly it settles. That release carries up through your shoulder, neck and back, and after eight hours behind the chair you will know the difference.
